Warp and Woof (11.2.2012)

The blog is back, it has been a long few weeks: stomach virus ran through the family last week and this week my dad is with us recovering from back surgery. So there has not been much writing (or reading which leads to writing), but here are a few items of interest from the past few weeks:

Brain Power – Good news, you are smarter than you think you are! Bad news, you are smarter than you think you are!

You are what you eat – I have heard this since I was little, usually to tell me to stop eating McDonald’s! This article looks at how your eating (when, what, and who with) impacts your productivity. Plus, I am in favor of any article that includes the advice “learn to graze”…

Jacques Barzun dies at 104 – Great article remembering a great educator. If you don’t know him read the article then read his stuff. I am always amazed by people able to converse on so many topics!

Have a great weekend and hopefully blog will get back to regular schedule next week. Let me leave you with this verse my dad has held onto the past 6 years as he waited for healing,

I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! (Psalm 27:13-14)
